Timeless

Timeless – 2010-2011, Final Version This film is intended to capture the spirit and endless energy of London. We decided to shoot it in a mixture of Timelapse and slow motion. We started filming in October 2010 in Richmond upon Thames just on the western edge of the city, and then the ensuing journey took us all the way through the city and back again, ending up just a year later with a final sun rise shot in the Richmond area. This final version features the brilliant new music score is by Rael Jones. I’d like to thank everyone else involved too; particularly my camera assistants; David Mead, Dave Calub, Laurence Beck and Johana Castro. They helped me lug around equipment and of course they kept me company during the long hours of time lapse work. They braved not only windswept bridges, endless travelling, and brushes with local law enforcement, but also marauding gangs and drunken loons in the west end. I can’t thank my wife Johana enough. I made her stand around for hours while she was two months pregnant, and I nearly ruined our anniversary by insisting on filming some time lapse footage at the Oxo tower restaurant half way through dinner, sorry. Technical information: Camera: Canon 7D Lenses: 17 – 55mm f.28, 70 – 200mm f2.8 Edited in FCP Graded in Magic bullet looks I used various shutter angles and intervals to achieve the best effect for any particular shot. At night I mostly wanted that streaky look, so most of it is either 1 or 2 second exposures with the lens stopped down to around f5.6. During the day I would shoot people shots at 1 second intervals which seemed to give that impression of frantic energy, particularly on a long lens. Hope you enjoy the film. Timeless - London Timelapse

Timeless – 2010-2011, 4mins 9seconds This film is intended to capture the spirit and endless energy of London. The brilliant but temporary music score is by Rael Jones. He’s currently working on music for the new BBC Sherlock Holmes series and he will be delivering a final score for my film in a month or so. I can’t wait to hear it, and I would like to thank him for all his hard work. I’d like to thank everyone else involved too; particularly my camera assistants; David Mead, Dave Calub, Laurence Beck and Johana Castro. They helped me lug around equipment and of course they kept me company during the long hours of time lapse work. Timeless Dreams

In May 2015 I traveled with Michael Sutton and my girlfriend Grace to the American Southwest to film a passion project. Over the span of three weeks we drove 3,000 miles through Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California to explore some incredible landscapes. We made filming awesome locations a priority, often at the expense of a full nights sleep, but it was well worth it. Every night we shot sunset and once it got dark we’d find a secluded place to film the stars and sleep for a few hours before the sun came up. We got to see some amazing places, and had some interesting experiences, like when Mike got stung by a scorpion, or when we got a flat tire at an inopportune. We were hit with a number of snowstorms, freezing temperatures, and some intense wind. Thankfully we made it home unscathed with some awesome memories and a hard drive full of footage. This film is primarily layer-lapse footage, a technique where different regions of a scene are shown at different points in time. We will be releasing an additional film with the rest of our time-lapse and 4k video footage. Stay up to date by following Julain Tryba @juliantphoto and Michael Sutton @MNS1974. Timeless

The digital settles in as background. We remember less and query more. Our identity play would be considered schizophrenic in the last century. We have more friends than ever before yet know new frontiers of isolation. The quantification of our experience haunts us in the form of a persistent history. And we are distracted more than we ever knew possible. These circumstances are paradoxically a description of the near future and a diagnosis of the current state of affairs. The truly timeless is redefined – it has transcended that which is classic; it has become that which is never finished. Timeless Transylvania

There’s more to Transylvania than Dracula, fairy-tale castles and medieval cities. For me it is a land of myth with breathtaking scenery, picturesque villages, virgin forests and well-preserved fortified churches. It’s like stepping back in time to a place where traditions are kept from generation to generation and where man and nature coexist. It’s a timeless place. The filming took 12 days in October while we visited the following locations: Trascău Mountains (in the Apuseni Mountain range), Târnava and Hârtibaci Plateau (inside Sighişoara-Sibiu-Braşov triangle) and Moieciu. We were very lucky to catch the morning mist in Biertan, Viscri and Aries Valley. The gear used: Nikon D7200, Nikon D7000, DJI Phantom 4 and a motorized slider. The film is edited in 4k 60 fps for a smooth camera motion. Drone footage was recorded in 24 fps and sped up to match the 60 fps format. Andy Criere - Art is Timeless

El arte es azul. La pasión que fluye por las olas. Equilibrio. Armonía. Un interruptor de la rutina. Tú, a solas. Art is blue. That passion flowing among the waves. Equilibrium. Harmony. A break from the routine. You, on your own. Nature’s fury maintains its infinite beauty. A feeling that is manifested in aesthetic and attractive forms. A continuous pursuit for beauty. Contemplation, the pleasure of a spirit that penetrates in Nature. A way to transmit emotion; a language. A way of life. Everything goes, changes and remains. Art is timeless. Art is Timeless es un corto sobre el surfista Andy Criere y un resumen de algunas de las olas del 2016.
